Marci Jaffer

Marci discovered yoga in 2001 when she was searching for something restorative while training for marathons.  Soon after she began taking Vinyasa Flow Classes; she not only felt her body restoring and healing itself, but, was also shocked to discover that yoga instilled in her an immense sense of focus that sparked her creativity and helped her to achieve the mind-body connection.

After years as a practicing student, Marci finally felt compelled to share in the practice that changed her life with others.  She received her RYT 200 through and is a certified Advanced Buti Yoga Instructor.  As a high school English teacher, Marci also has an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English Literature, and finds the combination of yoga and writing/journaling to be healing and life-changing.  She teaches others to journal and combine this with yoga as a means to identify one’s true self in order to live the best life possible.

She is hoping to teach people how to breathe and meditate, to help them get centered and find peace in their lives.  She lives 30 minutes outside of NYC with her husband, kids and three rescue dogs.

Barbara Maher

RYT 500
Barbara began teaching yoga 16 years ago, prior to retiring as a corporate finance professional.  Teaching has provided Barbara the opportunity to share her love of yoga in an environment that encourages health and wellbeing.  She is drawn to the physical asana aspect of yoga as well as the sense of calm that is experienced from connection to breath.  Her training is in Hatha Yoga with an emphasis in Anusara Yoga, these styles of yoga focus on appropriate alignment.  Attention to alignment is the key to a successful asana practice, allowing the body to function in the way it was designed to move.

Barbara is committed to helping her clients live a pain free live through yoga asana.  She loves incorporating props into her classes to best assist all bodies to feel comfortable and relaxed during their time on the mat.

Lynn Spampanato

RYT 500
Lynn has been working in the field of health and wellness for nearly half of a decade.  Lynn’s reasons for wanting to focus on the body’s health are based on her own personal experiences of needing rehabilitation.  Through her journey of wellness, she stumbled upon yoga and this was a huge turning point in her life.  Through yoga she learned to love her body and her being.  She discovered the gift of becoming mobile and having the ability to move without pain.  Lynn knew she needed to share this with others.

In Lynn’s classes she focuses on alignment basics and emphasizes proper postures.  She has used her own struggles to help others be the best version of themselves.  Not only did yoga change her body, it changed her mind and the way she now views life.  It is her mission to share this with all whom cross her path.

My mission is simple….. bring yoga to as many people as possible and we all will reap the benefits.

Yoga Philosophy:

Yoga will change your life if you let it. Your understanding of your body, mind, needs, and desires will enable you to make positive changes. Yoga is a way of life, a journey that has no destination other than to bring you closer to your true self. It is so much more than an asana practice when you bring about philosophy, spirituality, and meditation. Yoga opens doors you never knew existed and breaks down barriers you were unaware of. Yoga leads you on a path of a healthy and happy lifestyle.
