Fingers / Hands ImportanceIn Ayurveda our hands are considered one of our most precious organs of action.  The hand represents the five elements:Thumb = spaceForefinger = airMiddle Finger = fireRing Finger = waterLittle Finger = earthWhen we gather our food with our right hand we are stimulating the five elements and inviting the fire of digestion.  Part of our food sadhana is learning the sacred art of using your hands for food preparation and eating.  Some suggestions are:-Massage your hands when washing grains-Knead your energy into dough-Tear leafy greens with your fingers-At the end of the day always honor your hands by applying soothing oil or lotionInterested in learning more about Ayurveda? Our tribe leader, Nicole, is a Certified Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultant. Nicole would love to introduce these lifestyle changes into your world! Enroll online for our live or livestream class options. Registration is necessary 2 hours prior to class as well as cancellations due to limited spots available for LIVE classes.
